HERO (Heli Engagement Reconnaissance Observatory)
Brimrose Technology Corporation (BTC) is an R&D spin-off of Baltimore-based parent company Brimrose Corporation. BTC is primarily engaged in unique, very fast, solid state AOTF SWIR (Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter Short Wavelength InfraRed) Hyperspectral Imager technology in the SWIR and LWIR (Long Wavelength InfraRed) bands. Funding has been awarded by the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory Spaceflight Center, the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. defense and intelligent agencies. Brimrose Technology also has launched the HERO ( Heli Engagement Reconnaissance Observatory) platform for in-flight surveillance to aid in numerous tactical and emergency applications. HERO comes with a variety of cameras and sensors and is also focused on customer payload and integration and can be customized to specification. Night-time surveillance is also a HERO strong point as can be seen from the video to the right.

The Silhouette Profiling Optical Tripwire (SPOT) is a rugged sensor that utilizes Brimrose’s superior engineering background to remotely gather surveillance information.
AOTF SWIR Hyperspectral Imager

Brimrose Technology has introduced a new series of miniature AOTF SWIR Hyperspectral Imaging Spectrometers, known as the IS510 series. This customer module is designed for SWIR spectral imaging and can be used for telescope or microscope applications. The AOTF SWIR imaging system with Brimrose synthesizer electronics provides narrow bandwidth, rapid-wavelength selection, and intensity control.
